Lunch and Snack's California adventure ~ August, 2009.Part III ~ Disneyland |
"It IS a day in paradise, Snack. We're in DISNEYLAND!" |
The cows don their Mickey Mouse ears and wait to pass through Sleeping Beauty Castle to the Magic Kingdom. |
The cows are greeted by Mickey himself. What a wonderful surprise! |
"Are you ready to get wet, Snack?!" The cows get ready to ride Grizzly River Run in Disney's California Adventure theme park. |
Lunch and Snack are serenaded by roving mariachi minstrels at Paradise Pier. |
Keith doesn't know which is goofier, him or the water in Mickey's Toontown! |
"Lunch! Are they real?" "No, I think they're Fiberglas." |
Next stop on the adventure: Hearst Castle at San Simeon. |
Lunch and Snack admire the wonderful architecture of Hearst Castle. It belonged to newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, who had it built from 1919 until 1947. It's now a state historic park. |
The water in Neptune Pool looked very inviting for a bovine swim, but the tour guide would have none of that. |
After the visit to Hearst Castle, the cows move north to Pinnacles National Monument near Soledad. The monument is home to some of the only free range condors left in the world. |
Armed with a flashlight, Lunch and Snack are ready to descend into a talus cave. But they didn't get very far because it was too scary for cows! |
