The cows find themselves at Badwater Basin, one of the lowest points in North America at 282 feet below sea level. The actual lowest point is several miles from the road, but is only a few inches lower than the surface of the Badwater spring. |

"Can we drink it?" Not a good idea -- this natural spring at Badwater is severely salty and not good cows or other living creatures. |
